StevensMike Philips

Michael E. Phillips was born February 27, 1962 and was raised in Langeloth, PA. He is married to the former Kimberly Ann McPeek. They have been blessed with three children: Jacob, Jesse and Jenny. He is a graduate of Washington Institute of Technology and American Technical Institute. He worked for thirteen years in drafting, land surveying and civil engineering before dedicating himself to full-time ministry.

Michael was baptized in 1977 by Olan Adams. After serving the Lord’s church in many capacities, such as Bible class teacher, deacon, and filling pulpits by appointment for various congregations, Michael dedicated full-time effort to studying the Bible and preparing to preach.

In 1996 he was in the West Virginia School of Preaching’s first graduating class. He located with the Daybrook church of Christ (July 1996-February 2000), and then with the Belington church of Christ (February 2000-present). He has preached in gospel meetings and lectureships in West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia. He has written articles published in Therefore Stand and West Virginia Christian. He is also the alumni editor of Publishing Peace, the monthly periodical of the West Virginia School of Preaching.
